Key Milestones in the Interior Design

Interior Design Process

Explore different stages to create a design that’s uniquely yours
Project Steps
Introductory Call
An initial introductory call to understand your project and requirements. It is especially effective if you have shared information or project files in advance, as this allows for a more focused discussion.
We go through the key details of the project and your expectations, which form the basis for a subsequent proposal.
The call lasts approximately 20 to 40 minutes and is free of charge.
If preferred, this step can also be conducted via email or messaging instead of a call.
Briefing and Reference Review
At this stage, the client completes a brief covering all functional requirements and project needs. Stylistic preferences are clarified through the review and analysis of visual references.
This step can be carried out via email, during an online consultation, or in a personal meeting if preferred and possible.
Measurements
Option 1: The designer takes measurements and photos of the space during a site visit to ensure accuracy.
Option 2: The client provides measurements and photos. A guide is provided outlining all required dimensions and visual references.
The format for measurements is agreed during the briefing stage.
Layout Options
This stage focuses on developing functional space planning solutions, which form the foundation of the design project.
You will receive 2 to 3 layout options with different furniture arrangements, tailored to your space, lifestyle, and functional needs. Each option includes designer comments provided in writing or as voice notes.
You review the options and select the preferred direction. Feedback can be shared in writing, via voice message, or during a call, and the layout is then refined accordingly.
The number of revisions depends on the scope and type of project.
Concept and 3D Visualisation
At this stage, the design concept is developed and presented through 3D visualisation, based on the style direction agreed earlier.
Depending on the type of project, this may include fully detailed 3D visualisations or simplified white 3D models enhanced with AI-based texturing. In both cases, the model is built precisely to the dimensions and proportions of your space to ensure accuracy and avoid mistakes.
This stage allows you to clearly understand the design direction, spatial relationships, materials, and overall atmosphere of the future interior before moving into execution.
Set of Drawings (for Renovation projects only)
This is the essential documentation for builders and contractors, ensuring the accurate execution of the project. Since every project is unique, the composition of the drawings may vary slightly. The main sections outline the arrangement of furniture, the construction of necessary structures, the installation of electrical wiring, plumbing, and ventilation, as well as the layout of flooring and tiles, wall and ceiling finishes, and door placements.
Furniture and Material Specification
For furnishing projects, you receive a shopping list with selected furniture and lighting, including dimensions, specifications, pricing, and sourcing information.
For renovation projects, the specification also includes the main finishing materials presented in the visualisations, along with recommendations on where to purchase them.
This document helps streamline the purchasing and implementation process while ensuring all selected elements work cohesively within the design project.
Implementation
For furnishing projects, a turnkey implementation service can be provided, including coordination with suppliers, requesting quotations, delivery coordination, and installation. Clients may also choose to manage the implementation process independently if preferred.
For renovation projects, implementation and author supervision could be included. The format and duration depend on the scale and complexity of the project.
This stage covers communication with contractors, coordination of materials and finishes, on site selection of colours and textures, and refinement of technical and decorative details during construction to ensure the final result aligns with the design concept.
